Real help, right here, right now . . . for families that need it most.
Overview
Funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Alberta CAPC/CPNP Coalition was originally formed in December 2007. In April of 2026, the two separate streams (CAPC and CPNP) were joined to form the CAPCHP as one network of projects throughout Alberta committed to collective actions and effective partnerships, ensuring healthy outcomes for babies, children and their families.
Throughout Alberta, CAPCHP - Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program - projects are setup to be unique and responsive to each individual community.
The projects use a strength-based approach to connect with partners, communities and participants. This strength-based approach is also important as we work together in a provincial network to share information and exchange resources among projects.
CAPCHP projects throughout Canada have also seen benefits of increased communication and collaboration through the formation of the CAPCHP National Network, of which we are a member.
